青空広がる８月のとあるスタジアム。

UG率いるパーティcrew『Sherbourne SheepSkins』vs MUNEY率いるサッカーteam『JFT』の全面対決が行われました。その対決種目とは。。。

Vintage NBA Game Jerseyで武装した、チームSSS。

Soccer Shirtに身を包んだ、チームJFT。

種目はそう、この五角形のスリーストライプのブリーフ、いやベースをみれば分かる通りベースボール！！！！実際は女子混合のソフトボール大会になりました。

バスケとサッカーのどっちがカッコいいスポーツか野球で決めようじゃないか！的なノリ。

まぁ、ただ単に野球がしたかっただけだけども。

勝ち負けではなく、楽しくやろーぜー。キャプテンUGによるポジション発表。

いざ試合が始まったら、勝つ気マウンテンな本気ピッチングなUG。

アフロだからサードなのか？サードだからアフロなのか？MVP最有力MONEY BOX。

そのMONEY BOX初打席、豪快なホームランで高々とガッツポーズ。

負けじとJFTキャプテンのMUNEYも余裕あるスイングからのホームランでおかえし。

その後もバタバタ、ゴタゴタもありながらも試合は進み、結果はというと。。。。

すんませんでした。調子乗ってました。私たちの負けでございます。

サヨナラホームランを含む２ホームランを打った、MUNEYがMVP！

そんな時、DJ eYeからチャリティーマーケットのお誘いが。不用品を持ち寄ったり、ハンドメイドアクセサリー、ネイルアートなどのブースに交じって、GARAGARAGARAGE協賛でUpperUpperもチャリティーフリーマーケットに参加してきました。Vintageの商品に合わせてHipHopなアイテムも持ち寄って、upperupper crewは暗い雰囲気は嫌なので、ワイワイ楽しんできました。

As we were in such mood, DJ eYe decided to throw a charity market in downtown Toronto. The event included a flea market, nail art, hand made accessories, bake sales and so on. We teamed up with GARAGARAGARAGE and joined in. It was basically all organized and done by young and great willing Japanese/ Japan loving people living in Toronto. We brought in some of our vintage/hip hop clothing collection. And UpperUpper never forgets to have fun so we went in and hit the floor with those young stars.

すっごく忙しかったけど、すっごく充実した一日でした。

売上はすべて日本赤十字社に寄付させていただきました。予想を超えた、かなりの額になりました。このイベントを企画してくれたみんな、販売を手伝ってくれたみんな、遊びに来てくれたみんな、ほんとにありがとう。

It wasn't easy making it all together. But I can't really explain this satisfying feeling and the clear liquid that was filling my eyes a few times that day....

We donated ALL the proceedings, which was quite a sum, to Red Cross Japan.

A serious thanks to all the people who created, organized and supported this event as well as the people who came by. Let's do this again! This was just the beginning.

真冬の寒ぅ～い時期は、大変お世話になりました。ダウンやレザーも冬のアイテムだけど、今年は何と言っても「WOOL」！そして「SWEATER」！！ウールパンツにウールセーター、ウールジャケットに小物もウールキャップ。ぬくぬくぽかぽか。

The winter in Toronto is brutal. Period.

But all kinds of wool gears helped us get through it with style without Canada Goose Downs.

しかーし！春はもうすぐそこに。。けどまだまだウールは活躍できるはず！ということで、春のウール使いをスタイリング。

Now that the spring is around the block, it's time to put away all the w.... non non non. We are talking about the spring in Toronto. It doesn't get that warm so fast. What we do is 'de-rich the woolness'. Check it.

よくオシャレをする事は「自己満足」、だって言われる。高価な物や希少価値のある物を身につける、流行りの物をいち早く、それとは逆に流行りから離れて個性を出す。確かにどれもエゴかもしれない。けれどupperupperのスタイリングをやっていて気付いた事がある。MUNEY,UGの考えたスタイリングに本人をはじめ、その周りのみんなも笑顔になってくれる。着ている本人だけではなく周りを巻き込んでその場の空気を楽しみ、アゲル。その時点でファッションは自己満足ではなくなる。

満を持して登場、MC MONEY BOX!!今回のスタイリングは全身 90's CHICAGO BULLS でアウトフィッツ！ハマりすぎ。

フロアに入り、Free Styleで一瞬でオーディエンスの心を鷲掴み。パフォーマンス中 FloorはまるでNBAのコート。熱気ムンムン。

LIVEの勢いをそのままに、Chickのハートも鷲掴み！

カナダチームの、「金メダル獲得数、冬季五輪史上過去最高」という形で幕を閉じた、バンクーバーオリンピック。やったねカナダ！それに反して、がっかり日本チーム。。。

ともあれ、たくさんの感動をありがとうオリンピック！

それと、忘れちゃいけないのが、代表団の開会式、閉会式でのオフィシャル衣装。各国でスポンサーが違い、衣装もオリンピックの楽しみの一つ。

Canada did great at the 2010 winter olympic. They got more golds than any other countries. USA got the most medals in total as usual. Japan.... did their best. Germany, Norway, Korea... all countries did a great job. It was super exciting to watch the winter sports at that highest level possible.

But besides the skills and dramas, I was having fun with the olympians high-tech gears and wear.

Team Japan's wear for the ceremony was done by DESCENTE. It looked ok but nothing more. Kind of boring design-wise.

カナダチームはウールブランケットで有名な「THE BAY」製。オリンピック開催中、連日お店の前にはオフィシャルグッズを求めるお客さんで長蛇の列でした。

Team Canada by The Hudson's Bay Company. They look Canadian alright. The Cowichan sweater they wore for the closing ceremony was excellent!

そしてアメリカチーム。泣く子もだまる、「POLO Ralph Lauren」製です！！この写真は開会式の模様だけど、閉会式で着ていたニットカーディガンが最高にかわいかった。

Team America! It's not fair when they use Ralph for that. They win. The knit they wore for the closing ceremony was totally vintage-inspired and looked super high quality.

Thank you Vancouver and all the athletes. Skiers, snowboarders, speed skaters, jumpers..... you people are so cool.

ドレッシー、ワイルド、キュート、ハード、、、。VESTの着まわしは楽しくってしょうがない！！

クラブでのドレスコードとは一味違う、仲間内でのドレスコード。そこでの一体感、結束力は自然と生まれてくる。。。

まずはこちらの写真をどうぞ。
It might look like this is just some sports brand styling. But, why would we do that?

今回のスタイリングをみて、何かに気付いた人。なにか違和感がある感じ。。
ただ単に「adidas」「nike」「puma」のVINTAGEトップスを使ったスタイルではありません。
そうです。今回使ったスポーツブランド、すべて｛８０～９０’ｓのFAKE品｝です。しかもかなりふざけた完成度の物ばかり。お母さんの手作りレベル。それがなかなかのいい味、雰囲気を出していて、チープ感が好きな自分には大好きな品々です。｛模造品｝というには何か違う、制作側のギャグ心がかなりクリエイティブです。

ひと昔前、個人で楽しんでいたということで、各スポーツブランドさん許してやってください。良い子のみんな、もう作っちゃだめだぞ！

そういえば、モノマネも完璧なビジーフォーより、ギャグなコロッケのほうが好きだったなぁ。

Did you ever see NIKE making a track top with 3 stripes? You ever see PUMA making a track top with the disfigured PUMA logo looking more like a racoon? Ever see NIKE making this biggest & thickest swoosh patch only for an unknown basketball team? Ever? Eva? Eva, eva, Neva? Never.

It's really hard to call these ones 'fake'. It's not really faking anyting, is it? It's gone too far from the originals. Not that you can just make it and sell it I don't think. But you can make it and wear it at least just like these were done so back in the 80s~90s.

It's just like a joke that has a ton of love in it. Yes, it's the sweetest!

This wickedest vintage pair is made by this French brand MACDOUGAL & Co in Paris. It's likely from 1940s, if not earlier. It's just miraculously beautiful. (The suspenders are made by Brooks Bros. in England, also from the same era.)

かっこよすぎ。シルエット、色合い、素材感。久々に完璧と呼べるパンツに出会いました。「VINTAGE France made work stripe pants/Suspenders」をメインにスタイリングゥ。

This one's like a bad-ass dean of campus styling. Tuck your shirt in and look smart when he comes around. It's styled with Lauren cotton dress jacket(ladies, so what?), Gucci white leather hat(fake), Gucci shades(real), Roots black all leather bag(viva Canada!), White 60s vintage cotton T-shirt(V-neck), white leather shoes(Brazil made) and yellow measuring tape(5 feet).

まずはパンツの持つ雰囲気をそのままに、｛スクールスタイル｝。ジャケット、バックパックで学生らしさを出し、ホワイトの皮靴、VネックTシャツ、サングラスでCOOLな学生を演出。首から下げたメジャーがポイント。題して｛仕立て屋のドラ息子｝

It's done with 90s Nike Air T-shirt(Pink), club monaco dress shirt(viva Canada!) with gold cuff rings(says 'B' as in B-boy), 60s vintage Stetson fedora hat(Beaver), Nike court force low(Kameda Bros. edition) and Giudi Italian leather bag(Vegetable leather).

雰囲気を変え、｛カジュアルMIXスタイル｝。単にTシャツじゃ面白くないので、インナーにはドレスシャツを使用。ドレスシャツとハットのバランスもいい感じ。足元も「NIKE」スニーカーでカジュアルに。題して｛仕事帰りに合コンへ｝

Now this one's like 'a traveller who loves to go see an amateur ball game in the afternoon with a little bottle of Sake and occasionally yells "you suck'' at them' style. It's got a 60s football cotton shirt(nicely aged), Pashmina scarf(feels great), straw hat(goorin), dress vest(H&M!) and Lacoste leather flip-flops(not IZOD, never).

Last entry, this one's a 'beastie boy on the hunt for beauty' style, with a rabbit fur zip-up vest(ladies, so fuckin' what?), 70s stripe tank top(deep cuts on front And back), Nike court force high premium(Safari) and leather hunting hat(NY Hat & Co.). With this style, can't help but to walk with chin up.

最後は破壊力抜群、｛ワイルドスタイル｝。その名の通り、男らしさを前に前に。女の子に着せるのはもったいない、「レディース　ラビットファージップアップベスト」。インナーもタンクトップで男らしさ満点。パンツインした足元の「NIKE」もアニマル柄で、やり過ぎくらいの方がワイルドでかっこいい。題して、｛狩るの？狩られるの？｝

The 90s Nike windbreaker and 80s Rafaella/COOGI sweater are sick and colorful. They are styled up with leather shoes/heels, a dress shirt, a school jacket and all that gems to inject 'certain' maturity. AND, each couple's matching that many colors. It's always fun, like doing puzzle. Yeah, it's all about puzzle....?

Styling with Polo football shirts from the 90s. These types of football shirts are inspired by the ones from 60s~70s. They have been pretty big in Japan and the vintage market in the last two or three years, but not many were after them in 90s. Polo was making them!

一品目は、「VINTAGE オーバーオール」、「VINTAGE レザーキャスケット」を合わせて９０’ｓダンサーライクなカジュアルな合わせで。シンプルだけど奥深い、まるでチャーハン。

こんな感じも今の気分。二品目は、ハット、シャツ、ボウタイ、ローファーなど随所にキレイめVINTAGEアイテムを使った、プレッピーなスタイル。色を使った品のあるスタイル、まるでピラフ。

It's the 90s chemical wash denim styling.

｛９０’Sスタイルの持つシルエットの良さ｝を再確認するべく、前回同様、女の子をモデルに使って「９０’Sケミカルデニム」のアイテムを中心にスタイリング。

You see chemical wash denim jackets, pants and stuff in the street, but those have the silhouette of 'now', right? These ones in the pics are real ones from the 90s. Yes, 90s vintage. It's got the perfect 90s cut, color, power and everything.

単に９０’Sスタイルシルエットと言っても、いろいろあります。そのシルエットは、当時の時代を通り抜けてきた人達には懐かしくもあり、今の若者たちには新鮮に感じられます。

This is like 'the coolest girl in the block' with the wickedest bulky chemical wash jacket, super slim pants and huge NIKE that shines every step.

こんな感じに、大きめなジャケットにスーパースリムパンツ、足元はボリュームスニーカー、当時このスタイルが主流だったと思います。自分もこのスタイル、よくやってました。

This denim dress has got the high waist, knee length and Dolman sleeve. With the shiny silver shoes and bright colored sunglasses, it's the Total 90. The pretty pretty ribbon on her hair is a vintage bow tie.

このデニムワンピースは、ハイウェストでひざ丈、しかも袖はドルマンスリーブ。９０’S要素が満載です。カラーサングラスにシャイニースニーカーで小物も手抜きなし。そして何気ないポイントが、ヘアーリボン代わりに使ったボウタイ。

Wearing a chemical-wash-denim-something doesn't mean that it's good fashion. It ain't that easy:) A chemical denim jacket, hoodie, slim pants and Converse? Mmmmm it's a bit boring, isn't it? In the pic above, you can't make a chemical over coat look much better than that. Nice and fancy.

今回は９０’ｓヴィンテージスタイルで、カップルの日常風景をスタイリング。

It didn't seem a long ago when Dragon Ash's song called Attention came out with this line 'take off your chemical wash' in it. That was actually 1999. Acid wash denims were real big in 80s and hanged on through early 90s. In this last couple years, you see them here and there on street fashion lover type boys and girls. Often, though, 80s~90s stuff can look way too cheap on you easily. In pics, many higher end name brands are mixed in. To make it not like total 90s costume-upper, the jacket sleeves are rolled up with the shirt sleeves coming out, a bow-tie, leggings and blah blah blog... Just never do that running man in them.

BEP rehearsing at Match Music in downtown Toronto.　 BEPを見に行くのに、ドレスアップをしないなんて考えられず、しかっりとwill.i.amをリスペクトしたスタイリングで観覧。

自分が思うwill.i.amのイメージって、トラッドをベースに遊びをきかしたフォーマルスタイル、って感じ。

UPPERUPPERなりの遊びトラッド。UG、TICともにVINTAGE「US ARMY」アイテムをドレスアップスタイルに落とし込んでみました。ショーツにドレスシューズっていう外し方もwill.i.amっぽい。

今回のステージでのwill.i.amのスタイルは、スキニーパンツをブーツイン。けどトップスはちゃんとジレでドレスアップ。さすが！！！

Will's signature American trad mixed-in style is a good one for fun boys. UG and TIC are having fun with the balance between dressing up and down. The US Army shirt and cut-off pants from 1960s Anti-Vietnam War Peace movement era are mixed in nicely with American trad.

The most basic part of fashion is matching colors. But just matching the color of your New Era and Nike kicks is way too boring and easy now. Creative ones always win in Hip Hop culture, right? Then you wanna try something new in a higher level.

In the top two pics, UG's matching the colors of COOGI knit vest and Mickey on the shorts. The four colors match perfectly. In the other two pics, again he did four colors of the BMW sweatshirt and the plaid pants.

These goodies are all vintage finds, which helps you express your fun-ness.

今回はＨＩＰＨＯＰファッションには欠かせない、重要事項で遊んでみました。

「色を合わせる」。

昔からＨＩＰＨＯＰには色で遊ぶ、というスタイルがありました。ＢＢキャップとキックスを合わせる、Ｔシャツのプリントをキックスに取り入れる、全身チームカラーで統一する。。色々な色の合わせ方があります。

けれど、持っているニューエラと同じ色のキックスを買うなんてありきたり。。。

ということで今回は、｛１点物のＶＩＮＴＡＧＥ｝と｛１点物のＶＩＮTAGE｝のピンポイントの色を合わせる、という奇跡的な遊び心のある｛色遊び｝を決行。

１ｓｔショットのスタイルは「ＶＩＮＴＡＧＥ　ＣＯＯＧＩ」ニットベストに「ＶＩＮＴＡＧＥ　ＭＩＣＫＥＹＭＯＵＳＥ」のショーツ。ニットベストの編み色とミッキーの私服の色がドンピシャ。

２ｎｄショットは「ＶＩＮＴＡＧＥ　ＢＭＷ」スウェットシャツに「ＶＩＮＴＡＧＥ」チェックスラックス。スウェットシャツのプリントとスラックスのチェックがドンピシャ。

These Leopard's print silk jackets are from the early 90s and made for ladies. Real men can pull off ladies jacket and make it look as if it's men's.

It's not about how big the shoulder pads are or how short and wide the sleeves are, it's about how wild you are. Just like all male leopards, tigers and bears are wearing animal print fur coat for their life.

Keep your self control like humans and get wild like animals.

Growing up in Japan, I never had a chance to go see NBA live up until the year 2k.

I saw Mavs and Nets game in Dallas and holy shit it was incredible.

Then I picked up some top 40 play/players type videos on my way back to Tokyo.

I knew Jordan, Magic, Barkley, Drexler, Ewing and all that, but didn't realize how unbelievable they are till then. They are such showmen and they rule. Then I had to get some T-shirts, jerseys, sneakers, jackets anything that's got to do with my fav players.

Anyways, when I finally got too see Michael Jordan live, he was not wearing the red jersey, was blue instead. It was his last season, and was his last game at Madison Square under Spike Lee's eyes. He was older, but he did play like a real wizard. Each time he had a ball, I could see everyone's eyes sparkling with expectation and anticipation......

This jacket is the most classic of all time. You can't fly like he did in it, but at least you can be fly.

MJことマイケル・ジョーダン、「NIKE」 AIR JORDANシリーズと８０’ｓから続く今現代のストリートスタイルとの関係は切っても切れないもの。引退してもなお、新シリーズは進化の一途をたどり、新作の発売と同時にキッズは胸を踊らされます。僕ん中ではAJ１１で停まってますけど。。。

今回のショットは、モデルにリアルなダンサーを起用し、VINTAGE 「NIKE AJ１ wing ジャケット」をメインにスタイリング。パンツにはリアルなキッズを彷彿させる、デニムぺインターショーツ、ミリタリーカーゴパンツをチョイス。

やっぱりこのAJジャケットは、着ると動きたくなり、動きのある着かたが良く似合う！！

We are not doing this for people with all the money to afford whatever. We are like you who are into fashion and fun. When you buy this sweet vintage GIVENCHY sweater for a few hundred dollas, you wanna wear it more than a few times and enloy it, but at the same time you don't wanna ruin it by wearing it too often. So you need to style it very differently like these. The above, styled like a producer type checking out a party. The below, styled like an 80s breaker ready to do some old school freeze. Like breaking, got to be able to have many styles to express and impress.

高級ブランド品の持つ雰囲気って、ヴィンテージ品の持つ雰囲気と近い気がする。ヴィンテージでもブランドでもそうだけど、全身ヴィンテージとか全身ブランド品っていうスタイルは好きじゃない。

着方、合わせ方の違い一つでそのアイテムの持つ、雰囲気ってかなり変えられる。

メインのアイテム、その一着を｛カジュアルダウン｝するか｛ドレスアップ｝するか。。

そういう事が出来る雰囲気を持つVINTAGE品、８０’ｓ、９０’ｓのアイテムをこれからも紹介していきたいです。

今回は９０’ｓ「GIVENCHY」のカットソーをメインに使って２通りのスタイリング。

一枚目は、全体的に紳士的なアイテムをチョイスし、メインのカットソーを｛ドレスアップ｝して、パーティー使用に。
ドレスシャツにボウタイはもう定番？。ポイントは大きめなストール。

二枚目は、スポーティなアイテムをチョイスし、カットソーを｛カジュアルダウン｝して、ストリート使用に。

スタイリッシュなブレイクダンサーをイメージ。やっぱり８０’ｓブレイカーは細身のスタイルでブレイク！

FAKE NO MORE

GUCCI, CHANEL, MCM.... Who could afford that type of luxury back in the day? Definitely not the cats in the street on the hip hop movement in NY. until they(rappers only, not breakers) hit the mainstream later on. But fun people knew what to do. They found cheap fakes and styled it up with street style. The coolest part of the idea is that the fakes were styled as cheap fake shits. There was no need to pretend. If there was someone who wasn't sure if it's real or not, you wanted to let them know. Cause it was way cooler. That, was the 'keeping it real'.

However, however, however..... The fakes, these days..... It's really dumb. Trying so hard to make it look the same. Trying to rip off people. There is no fun in there. It's all business, imitation and pretension. No social message. No voice. Stupid, really.

Luckily, there are some 'real' fakes left out there. If you are old enough now to afford a GUCCI hat or something, you know which sweatshirt to put on with it. Have fun.

良い意味でもあり、悪い意味でもありますが、８０’ｓのストリートスタイルは何でも「アリ」でした。

良い方向で考えると、ブランドを着る一人一人に自由がありました。それでなければダメ、という観念が無かったと思います。

「ＬＡＣＯＳＴＥ」ではなくて「ＬeＴIＧＲＥ」のポロシャツを着て、「純金」ではなく「真鍮」のネックレスをし、なかには「３本ライン」ではなく「２本または４本ライン」のキックスを履く者も。。高価なブランドを買えずに廉価版を選び似た物を身につける者、あえてリアルから離れフェイク品の持つ独特なチープ感を楽しむ者。ただ単に｛本物｝、｛偽物｝で片付けるには難しい、８０’ｓ当時の文化がありました。

今、現在もブランドのフェイク品はストリートに氾濫しています。けどこれだけはハッキリと言えます。８０’ｓ文化から産まれたフェイク品と、今出回ってるＭＡＤＥＩＮＣＨＩＮＡの偽物は全く違います。決して８０’ｓフェイク品を肯定してる訳ではないけど、当時のフェイク品には本物にはない独特な空気感があります。

これ以上、単なる偽物はいりません。８０’ｓVINTAGEの中にある｛フェイク感｝を楽しんでください。

そして、今回のスタイリングに使ったアイテムを｛真｝、｛偽｝ではなく、そこにある空気を感じてください。

This one's a rare bright 3 toned varsity cardigan from 1967. You really don't have to be Steve to wear something that says Steve right on the chest. You don't have to have afro to be carrying around the comb, because some cute afro lady may ask you for a little help. Gold chains don't have to be real and heavy because it's just about having some fun. Shiny sneakers are always gooooood with vintage stuff. If this guy had NIKE waffle racer or something on, it's like going to a costume party. You gotta show that you are thinking, not like putting something all from the same era. Think, don't stink.

前回に続いて今回も、６０’sVINTAGEレタードカーディガンをメインにスタイリング。前回とは違い、ストリート色を強めに出したポップなスタイル。スニーカー、キャップ、ルーズデニムはもちろんのこと、重ね付けしたネックレスがストリート感を出す重要ポイント。

I love my college... days. Getting dressed and going to school. I really wanna know if there's anything better than that! Walking around in the campus, and people are talking about you, pointing at you, laughing at you, yelling at you.... Either loved or hated often simply by the way you're dressed. That was my choice not to try to stay in the middle of love and hates, ya knaw. Expressing yourself everyday, and there are people who criticize you around. That's cool. Yeah, the 80's acid wash Levi's 505 and 40's vintage varsity cardigan with a huge native chief patch, plus UG's 90's pausing..... NICEY.

ここ何年か前から、スクールテイストがまたいい感じです。IVYに始まり、プレッピーなどのキレイめなスクールテイストを取り入れたスタイルが、懐かしくもあり、また新鮮にみえます。

UPPERUPPERなりの少し崩したヴィンテージMIX、８０’Sスクールスタイル。今でもこんな学生っているのかなぁ。。。

Vintage varsity cardigans are big in Japan these days. Wasn't cool kids wearing something like that in URB one time? The older one like this one's really hard to get now. These 40's~50's thick wool ones and earlier ones which have a shawl collar are the ones you wanna go after. 2 tones are always good and easily go with your sneakas, right?

World Baseball Classic. I love the sound of that, but people don't seem to give a shit about it yet here in Toronto.... I guess Canada doesn't have enough super stars in baseball. Everyone's playing hockey and can't even play catch in winter. Enough bitching. Starter 's late80s~early90s sport jacket shines a whole lot! Throw it on and you are the super star now. Blue Jays used to have the great design like every other teams did. What's up with that?? Nice Cazal, UG.... Gimme gimme.
行ってきました！WBC、ワールドベースボールクラシック ！トロントのロジャースセンターで、カナダ、アメリカ、イタリア、ベネズエラの４カ国が予選を行うみたいで。初戦の対USAをバッチリカナダ愛を身にまとい観戦に行ってきました！！・・・・・って言ってもカナダ国旗のTシャツは着たくないってことで、８０’S「STARTER」のサテンスタジャンで、チームは言うまでもなくTORONTO　BLUE JAYS！！今のJAYSのロゴってちょっと怖い感じになっちゃってるので、かわいいロゴのヴィンテージJAYSアイテムは好き。
インナーにはドレスシャツ、ボウタイ、ジップフーディでキレイにまとめて、スポーティーになり過ぎないようにドレスアップ。仕上げはスポーツアイテムとの相性もいい７０’S「CAZAL」９０４でCOOLに。

さあ、いざスタジアムへ！！
スタジアム内はカナダチームカラーの赤一色！！対するアメリカチームのブルーカラーはチラホラ。さすがホームゲーム！自国愛！！

NERD... Why not, eh? Everyone wants to look nerdy every now and then, right? Walk around with glasses and show off your intelligent stuff you got in the head or hide it, and just sit around in a cafe with some USA today or whatever spread out on your lap and you know. It would be really cool if you get in an argument with a nerd, and he gets real upset and throws off his glasses and the man purse, and starts like.... krumping at you! Don't you judge N.E.R.D.S. by the thickness(or the roundness) on their lenses, because you never know.

トロントの冬ってやっぱり寒い。正直、東京って防寒着はいらないと思う。だから東京の人は東京の冬の着こなしを楽しんでる。けどトロントの冬の街なかでオシャレを楽しむには、まず防寒。防寒しながらのイカした着こなし。NYもそうだけど、やっぱ防寒をしながら冬服をスタイリッシュに楽しんでる人ってカッコイイし。今回はMUNEYをモデルに冬のスタイリングを。

I heard it in the street that Kurt Cobain loved to try'n find whatever to put on at thrift stores like Value Village, Salvation Army. He would've totally dressed like this if only he could got Common Project patent white sneaks back then. Vintage silver fox jacket by SAGA FOX, Puma T-shirt and Levis crashed 501.

題名の通り、グランジロックをベースにスタイリング。ヒップホップスタイルにグランジファッションを取り入れるのも有りだと思いまして。

グランジロックスタイルってフランネルシャツにモヘアカーディガン、クラッシュジーンズにCONVERSEオールスター。そう、カートコバーンのスタイル。衝撃的にかっこよかった。少なくともあの頃の自分は影響されました。今でもその時に得た感性は、心に残ってると思います。

今回のスタイリングは、VINTAGEシルバーフォックスファーコートをメインに。そして随所にポイント作りを。

パンツはグランジスタイルには欠かせない[Levi’s５０１]クラッシュデニムで、コートとのバランスを考えてカットオフをチョイス。インナーにはファーコートに負けないくらいのインパクト抜群の８０’S製[PUMA]TEEを、足元はキレイめな格好にもはまる[COMMON PROJECT]で全体的にGRUNGEとは言えども、汚くなりすぎないようなアイテム選びでスタイリング。

HIPHOPスターライクなファーコートをグランジのフィルターでカジュアルダウン。うん。これなら肩に力を入れずにファーコートを着て街に出かけられる！

GARAGARA　SWEATER

The infamous 80s COOGI sweaters and Rafaella sweaters. They just match too much. How many couples gave each other a COOGI/Rafaella this Christmas? Not too many, most likey none I guess. Maybe next Christmas then. If you see a couple like that in the pic in your town, wouldn't you talk to them, take a pic, or ask for a shake hands??? Wouldn't that get you excited and motivated? That's the feeling good I'm talking about.
SWEATERって好き。素敵。コットン、ウール、カシミア、アンゴラ、、何素材でも好き。無地でもボーダーでもアーガイルでもみんな好き。無地セーターも大人（真面目）な雰囲気で好きなんだけど、もっと背伸びして大人（不良）な男になりたい時なんかはコレ。[COOGI]。ブラックな雰囲気＆高級感がプンプン。クオリティーも最高。立体感の出た肉厚な編み方もいい。

そしてセーターを着てる女の子も好き。せっかくのデートなら、女の子も彼に合わせて柄セーター。大人な女性の色気が出せるセーターは[Rafaella]の物。発色のいいアンゴラ素材を使用して、かわいさの中にも大人っぽさを出せるナイスな柄が豊富です。

フェドラハット、レザーハットで小物にもスパイスを。

たまにはこんな感じに背伸びして、大人な不良カジュアルスタイルでデートなんてのもいかが？

今回着用の[COOGI]、[Rafaella]共に８０～９０’S。

[COOGI]も[Rafaella]も大好きなんで、機会があればまた違ったスタイルで紹介していきたいです。おっきめな[COOGI]を女の子が着るってのもいいかもぉ。。。

I personally never liked the Yokosuka Jacket style until today(except the ones with Panda embroidered I saw in Ueno Japan), especially after Britney wore it around and it bacame a little too child-like. It's actually, I mean it can be, pretty damn gooood. The jackets are real ones from early 1950s. Not one of those stupid repros. My jet black pants are Naked & Famous's and UG's are Cheap's. And yes, those are NIKE.

こんな感じでUPPERUPPERスタイルフォトを、今後も掲載していきたいと思っています。

上記でMUNEYも言ってるけど、スカジャンってロック、パンクのイメージが先行してあんまり好きじゃなかったんだけど、いざ本物（５０’S）に袖を通すとビックリ！眠ってた何かが目覚めました。

早速UPPERUPPERなりのスタイリングを決行。スキニーパンツで５０’Sロックスタイルも残しつつ、インナーのドレスシャツ＆タイでパーティ使用に。仕上げはキャップと色を合わせたキックスでストリート感もプラス。MUNEY着用のスカジャンはシルク素材。NIKEダンクのパテントレザーとの相性もバッチリ！

NAKED & FAMOUS?

This is what we pictured when we first heard Naked $ Famous. It turned out that it's a Montreal-based jeans maker using Japan-famous Okayama denim only. The jeans are all nice, reasonable and high quality. A lot better than the ones with bigger names that cost hundreds of dolla dolla. 今回は Naked & Famous のご紹介。写真もある意味ネイキッド＆フェイマス。。日本でもおなじみの岡山デニムを使ったカナダメイドのジーンズ。うちらはトロント在住ってこともあり即チェック。Holtrenfrewでも取り扱ってるってことで品質は立証済み。ちなみにMUNEYは即買いでした。

Shot at GARAGARAGARAGE who is our wickedest supplier. What they do is dig in piles of ol'dirty clothing day to day and pick out the fanciest stuff possible. Without GARAGARAGARAGE, there wouldn't be UPPERUPPER. It's all love.

ヴィンテージって何？古着って何？　それって価値のある古い服？安く買えるリーズナブルな使い捨て感覚な服？

ヒップホップって何？B－BOYファッションって何？　それってDJ、ダンサー、グラフィティーライター？NYブルックリンで流行ってる服？

そう、違うはず。そんなんじゃない。価値のない、けどメチャクチャかっこいいヴィンテージウェアだってもちろんあるし、人気、価値だけのダサいヴィンテージウェアだってある。DJの出来ない、踊れない、けどイカした（イカれた？）B-BOYだっているし、外見だけのイケてないB-BOYだってたくさんいる。
結局はその一人一人の個性、感性の表現の仕方、言葉じゃない内側から出てくる何か。それがHIPHOPだと思う。
ファッションは単に服を着るのではなく、自分を表現し相手に伝える一番の手段。
